About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time Mobile Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Richmond, Midlothian, Mechanicsville, Chesterfield, Glen Allen, Henrico, Petersburg, Virginia, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with a focus on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and meaningful care during an important time in families’ lives. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. The company provides onboarding, ongoing training, experienced mentors, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are available for three, four, or five days per week, with an average of three to four unrushed appointments per day. Compensation depends on schedule structure: four-day positions start at $107,500, and five-day positions offer a $130,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
