Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Richmond, Midlothian, Mechanicsville, Chesterfield, Glen Allen, Henrico, Petersburg, Virginia, and surrounding areas. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with ongoing training, experienced mentors, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. The position offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must undergo a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Travel to appointments in the Richmond-area communities and surrounding areas.
- Work independently while coordinating with the company’s support professionals and resources.
