About The Position
This position is for a Unit Secretary on the 4H unit, which is a 22-bed unit caring for a variety of medical and surgical patients, specializing in digestive diseases. The patient population includes colorectal and bariatric surgical patients, as well as those with bowel obstruction, kidney failure, cellulitis, and falls. The unit is an accredited bariatric surgery center focused on continuous quality improvement and providing a high level of care. Blodgett Hospital, where this role is located, has a history of providing high-quality, compassionate, and personalized medical care since 1846, offering patient-focused inpatient care and outpatient services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Work Equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
Responsibilities
- Performs receptionist/secretarial duties.
- Maintains confidential records, supplies, and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards.
- Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment.
- Performs computer entry.
- Schedules tests/procedures.
- Processes orders.
- Performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.
