About The Position
CrowdStrike is hiring an experienced backend software engineer for its Fusion product. Fusion provides core orchestration and workflow capabilities across the Falcon Platform and gives users access to platform components and partner-product features. It is used to automate breach-remediation actions and serves as the runtime engine for Foundry. The role will help integrate Fusion with agentic workflow development and advance the platform’s Next-Gen SIEM capabilities. The engineer will build and support highly fault-tolerant backend microservices and high-volume event pipelines, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability. This is a hybrid role involving 2–3 days per week in the Sunnyvale, California office.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of applicable experience in a technical role.
- At least 5 years of recent experience building event-driven, microservices-oriented architectures.
- Expert knowledge of at least one backend language: Go, Scala, Java, Node.js, or Python.
- Proven expertise building distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Production experience with a commercial cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
- A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Knative or similar open-source serverless infrastructure-building frameworks.
- Contributions to the open-source community, such as through GitHub, Stack Overflow, or blogging.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Golang experience.
- Prior cybersecurity experience.
Responsibilities
- Build highly fault-tolerant Golang microservices to add features and functionality to Fusion and its supporting ecosystem.
- Support ultra-high-volume Kafka event pipelines that manage customer workflows.
- Work with technologies including Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Contribute to cross-team, platform-level initiatives and projects.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement solutions.
