About The Position

The Software Engineer will build cloud-based subscription management and purchasing services for Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and other products and services. These services support a variety of products, plans, promotions, purchase methods, and geographies, and are intended to be fast, available, scalable, and reliable. The role also includes data experimentation and analysis related to these services.

The engineer will deliver critical services for multiple clients, enabling flexible and scalable subscription workflows. The work spans software design and development, testing, prototyping, research into industry trends, and improving product usability and adoption. The engineer will also analyze data flowing through systems and services and build features to validate data consistency and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• Track record of delivering software releases or projects on time and with high quality.
• Experience or knowledge of Java and the Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design.
• Knowledge of data experimentation and analysis.
• Knowledge of building RESTful services.
• Excellent knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Agile software development techniques.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building large-scale, complex client/server solutions.
• Experience with AWS, New Relic, or Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software development activities, including design, coding, code review, unit testing, integration testing, and bug fixing.
• Independently design and deliver medium- to complex-level functionality.
• Collaborate with and provide guidance to team members to build scalable, high-performance solutions with low operational overhead.
• Work with cross-functional team members to deliver a strong end-to-end customer experience.
• Rapidly prototype ideas and concepts and research industry trends.
• Build features that make products easier to use.
• Track metrics and formulate ideas to improve products and increase adoption.
• Perform analysis and experimentation on data flowing through different systems and services.
• Build data consistency and validation features to deliver high-quality data.
