About The Position

The role works across a rolling set of focused design problems, typically delivered in one to two weeks. It involves independently scoping short problem statements, proposing approaches, redesigning individual screens and user flows, and improving dense table and graph views. The position turns friction reported by engineers and technical program managers—including bugs and feedback—into concrete design fixes, produces development-ready specifications, and partners with engineers through implementation and QA. The role also requires sequencing work against milestones and keeping status visible to a distributed team.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of UX or product design experience, with a portfolio of shipped work.
  • Proven experience designing data-dense enterprise or internal tooling, such as tables, graphs, hierarchies, and admin surfaces.
  • Strong Figma skills, including components, variants, and design-system contribution.
  • Track record of self-directed work with multiple concurrent deliverables and light supervision.
  • Ability to interview technical users and translate domain complexity into clear interfaces.
  • Excellent written communication in an async environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with requirements management, PLM, ALM, or traceability tools such as DOORS, Jama, Polarion, or similar.
  • Familiarity with hardware development or systems engineering processes, including the V-model, verification, and change control boards.
  • Background in developer tools or technical enterprise software.
  • Prototyping ability for validating complex interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Redesign individual screens and user flows, including document creation, requirement editing, dependency linking, and coverage views.
  • Improve dense table and graph views, including information hierarchy, filtering, bulk actions, and empty and error states.
  • Independently scope short problem statements and propose an approach before designing.
  • Turn engineer- and TPM-reported friction, including bugs and feedback, into concrete design fixes.
  • Produce development-ready specifications and partner with engineers through build and QA.
  • Sequence work against milestones and keep status visible to a distributed team.
