About The Position

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of oncology experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
• Port flush skill.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• At least 1 year of inpatient oncology, ICU, or PCU experience.
• At least 1 year of physician office experience.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating various aspects of oncologic patient care.
• Triage and treat cancer-related issues, including administering and monitoring chemotherapy treatments.
• Enter chemotherapy treatment orders as directed by the ordering physician and coordinate treatment appointments with the infusion center.
• Monitor patient adherence to oral chemotherapy medications and other medications ordered by the physician.
• Provide patients and family members with support, resources, and education about treatment, side effects, expectations, and procedures.
• Complete patient forms, including FMLA and disability forms and letters of medical necessity.
• Assist the benefits team in obtaining authorizations for chemotherapy and infusion-related treatments.
• Respond to voicemails, emails, texts, and Microsoft Teams messages.
