About The Position

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS Basic Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support; certification must be obtained from an approved source before direct patient care, and PALS is required within six months of hire based on departmental requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required).
• Recent Medical/Surgical, NICU, Pediatric, OB, ED, or critical care experience (preferred, not required).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).
• BLS or PALS certification at hire is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Apply contemporary nursing practice and provide nursing assessment and interventions for pediatric patients.
• Provide pediatric nursing care to acute and critical patients requiring intensive medical care, including inpatient care and episodic outpatient care where applicable.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plans of care to facilitate planned and expected outcomes.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
