About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the MedSurg / Telemetry unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various medical-surgical and telemetry settings. The role requires flexibility, as the nurse will float to different med-surg areas as needed.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid nursing license.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the MedSurg/Telemetry specialty.
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
  • No gaps greater than 60 days in work history.
  • Candidates must upload a complete profile, including: Resume/Work History, Skills Checklist, References, Certification Card, Nursys License Verification, Demographic information, including a badge-appropriate picture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient assessments, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Educate patients and families about post-discharge care and health maintenance.
