Registered Nurse - Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in the Telemetry Unit at Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. This full-time day-shift position is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for three 12-hour shifts. The role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct care within the scope of practice. The nurse guides patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The nurse is accountable for the care of assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Hold a current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
- Have a current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
- Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Have a current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

- Take direct responsibility and accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
