About The Position

Prime Healthcare is seeking a full-time Telemetry Registered Nurse to care for patients in telemetry units, including patients requiring cardiac monitoring. The nurse monitors and interprets vital signs such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. Continuous monitoring supports real-time patient-care decisions and early detection of abnormalities or changes in a patient's condition.

This position is at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas, with night shifts of 12 hours. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance of current certification.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintenance of current certification preferred.
• Previous acute-care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, and create individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment.
• Communicate changes in patients' clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Provide hands-on care, including wound care, treatments, assistance with activities of daily living, and emotional support.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, treatments, self-care practices, and lifestyle modifications.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and raise concerns with physicians as soon as possible.
• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
