About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides safe patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. The role includes communicating with physicians about changes in a patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it.

Nice To Haves

Previous acute-care hospital experience.
Ventilator management experience.
Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
