Registered Nurse - Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. In the Telemetry Unit, the nurse guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients, communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition—including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms—and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
