About The Position
Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) Pediatric Institute is actively recruiting a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to support our growing NICU presence in the Pittsburgh Market. This role involves the management of inpatient pediatric and newborn nursery patients at Wexford Hospital, rounding on newborns in the newborn nursery at Jefferson and West Penn, and providing consults on pediatric patients in the ED. The position also includes overnight call coverage from home and offers the opportunity to work with medical students within a collegial environment with exceptional support staff.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment
- DEA and CPR Certification required prior to employment
Responsibilities
- Management of inpatient pediatric and newborn nursery patients at Wexford Hospital
- Manage pediatric patients admitted to our inpatient beds
- Round on newborns in the newborn nursery
- Consult on pediatric patients in the ED
- Newborn nursery coverage at Jefferson and West Penn
- Round on newborns in the newborn nursery
- Overnight call coverage from home
