The School of Population and Global Health brings together investigators from diverse disciplinary backgrounds who develop new quantitative, qualitative and interdisciplinary methods for the study of the determinants of health and of the impact of public health and clinical interventions on the health and well-being of populations worldwide. As one of three departments in the School of Population and Global Health, the Department of Global and Public Health aims to address health inequities and advance public health — locally, nationally, and globally — through action-oriented research, interdisciplinary training and experiential learning, allyship, and equitable partnerships. The Department houses two new initiatives, the Nkabom Nutrition and Sustainable Agri-Food Collaborative and the Pandemic and Emergency Readiness Lab who are respectively moving to assemble interdisciplinary and intersectoral expertise, breaking down silos and co-creating platforms to promote novel research and education within global health and medical communities. Reporting to the Director of Administration of the School of Population and Global Health (SPGH), and in support of PERL and the SPGH Nkabom Academic Lead, the position works closely with faculty members, trainees, partner institutions, and McGill administrative units. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across two complementary programs.
