About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Global Health, International Development, or a related field.
• Experience in program management, program administration, or a closely related role, preferably in academic, research, global health, or international partnership environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or managing multi‑institutional and/or international collaborations is a strong asset
• Experience with research administration or grants coordination in an academic setting, including familiarity with grant submission processes, funder reporting requirements, ethics applications, or budget is an asset
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across institutions, cultures, and professional backgrounds.
• Proven experience planning and delivering events, training programs, academic convenings, or similar initiatives.
• Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting reports, correspondence, briefing materials, and program documentation for varied audiences.
• High level of professionalism, discretion and comfort working with senior and high‑profile stakeholders, including academics, policymakers, clinicians, and philanthropic partners.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, while also contributing effectively within a highly collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with administrative processes, including expense tracking, procurement, and the use of administrative platforms and tools.
• Excellent command of English (oral and written) is required; knowledge of French is an important asset.
• Bachelor's Degree 3 Years Related Experience
• Must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
• Level 4 on a scale of 0-4 for English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of program activities across both initiatives, ensuring the effective implementation of program activities and alignment with program objectives
• Develop and maintain internal tracking systems for activities, milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements
• Work closely with SPGH, Faculty of Medicine and Health Science and central administrative and finance teams to support budget monitoring, expense tracking, and administrative processes
• Manage the planning and execution of events including seminars, workshops, public lectures, training programs, convenings, and partnership meetings
• Oversee all logistical components including scheduling, invitations, travel arrangement, venues, vendors, communications and on‑site support
• Facilitate visits, exchanges, and collaborative activities between McGill and partner institutions, including international partners
• Maintain event timelines, budgets, and post-event documentation
• Serve as a key liaison between SPGH and partner institutions involved in the Nkabom Collaborative, organizing communications, meetings, and collaborative activities with Ghanaian partner institutions and other stakeholders
• Oversee recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, and ongoing organization of trainees, visiting scholars, and postdoctoral fellows
• Facilitate equitable and transparent selection processes for trainees and academic opportunities
• Monitor Postdoctoral Fellows in training at SPGH and other Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and McGill academic units and support the identification and support of faculty supervisors for Postdoctoral Fellows across these units, as required
• Manage program communications across both initiatives, including updates, outreach materials, and dissemination of program activities and achievements
• Oversee external communications such as newsletters, websites, and social media content
• Contribute to the development of narrative and administrative reports required by funders and internal stakeholders
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities by tracking outputs, outcomes, and program data
• Provide administrative and operational support for PERL & Nkabom program activities, including scheduling program meetings, preparing agendas and briefing materials, and tracking follow-up actions to support program delivery.
• Manage travel arrangements for leadership and visiting collaborators and partner institutions, expense reports, procurement requests, and reimbursements in compliance with McGill policies
• Draft and support the development of correspondence, presentations, reports, and documents for internal and external audiences, including philanthropic partners and academic stakeholders
• Lead the onboarding of new team members and maintain organized internal filing systems and shared workspaces
