About The Position
The Production Supervisor runs the floor. You are responsible for a crew, a daily schedule, and the quality of what leaves your area. You answer to the VP/General Manager and work closely with Quality every day. We manufacture under FDA Good Manufacturing Practice rules. That means the schedule matters and the paperwork matters equally, and a supervisor who is good at one and indifferent to the other will struggle here.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Three or more years in manufacturing, including at least one year leading people in any capacity
- Solid basic math and the ability to check others' calculations and weights
- Legible handwriting and the ability to hold a crew to the same standard
- Ability to read and enforce written procedures
- Competence with email, spreadsheets, and production reporting
- A record of dependable attendance and of being trusted with responsibility
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Experience in a regulated environment — pharmaceutical, food, medical device, or cosmetic.
- If you have supervised in an unregulated plant and are willing to learn the GMP side, we will teach it.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct daily production to meet the schedule
- Supervise, train, and develop compounding and packaging staff
- Verify weights, calculations, and in-process checks recorded by operators
- Ensure batch records are completed correctly, legibly, and on time
- Enforce safety and GMP requirements without exception
- Investigate deviations and drive corrective action with Quality
- Track output, yield, and downtime, and act on what the numbers say
