About The Position

Tutor Intelligence builds and deploys autonomous palletizing and case-pick robots at customer facilities across the United States. Its Watertown, Massachusetts manufacturing facility is scaling production of the Cassie robot toward 1,000 or more robots by 2028. The Production Supervisor will lead the Cassie assembly and test line and a team of assembly and test technicians building robot subassemblies. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves working on the production floor and assisting the team when needed. The supervisor owns daily output, quality, and safety; leads a shift independently; and helps establish the processes needed to support production scale-up. The role reports to the Head of Manufacturing. Compensation is $40–$55 per hour. This is a non-exempt hourly position eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the regular rate. Final pay within the range depends on experience and skills.

  • Partner with Production Engineering on root-cause analysis and corrective action for build and test failures.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, standard work, and visual management.
  • Implement engineering changes on the production line on schedule while minimizing disruption to output.
  • Enforce safety, ESD, 5S, and MES (ION) traceability standards.

  • Train and certify new and contract technicians using standard work, skills matrices, and sign-offs.
  • Ensure each engineering change order and redline is posted at the station, communicated to the team, and verified across all robots in work in progress.
  • Manage shift attendance and expectations, holding the team accountable fairly and consistently.
  • Bring field and test defects back to the production line, correct their causes, and confirm fixes on every affected robot.
