About The Position

R.S. Hanline & Company Inc., part of The Hanline Group, is seeking a Production Supervisor to provide day-to-day supervision and leadership. The role plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, develops employees’ skills and capabilities, and recommends improvements to production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. The supervisor manages a production team of 4 to 55 employees and balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve results.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of supervisory experience or experience leading a team.
• Ability to maintain safe work environments.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to obtain results through others.
• Ability to plan ahead over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
• Experience or ability in employee hiring and retention, performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and corrective action.
• Ability to measure performance against goals and standards.
• Systems and continuous-improvement orientation.
• Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
• Problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and make informed, immediate decisions.
• Inventory management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective employee relations and resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
• Coach and develop employees, and make employment decisions.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve results.
• Continuously improve departmental operations.
• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to managers.
• Coach and counsel employees; document and discuss performance reviews in a timely manner.
• Perform accident investigations.
• Maintain proper inventory counts.
• Manage department priorities.
• Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
