About The Position

The Production Supervisor leads the Manufacturing department in establishing and maintaining a behavior-based safety culture, producing quality products, and maintaining and increasing plant efficiencies. The supervisor manages, develops, and motivates direct-report staff; oversees production processes and reporting; and communicates with staff and the plant superintendent. Duties may vary depending on location.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or training experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Packaging industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure associate safety and implement plant safety procedures.
Manage, develop, and motivate direct-report staff.
Monitor, measure, and report production-related process performance and general issues.
Communicate effectively with all staff, verbally or in writing.
Use problem-solving and troubleshooting to help team members identify root causes and take effective action.
Maintain and enforce housekeeping standards for a clean and safe workplace.
Make appropriate quality and scheduling decisions while following the company’s organizational structure.
Communicate crew updates to the plant superintendent.
Enforce company policies and discipline associates for violations, including attendance, quality, safety, and conduct policies.
Maintain and authorize employee time cards daily.
Conduct weekly evaluations of new employees during their first month of employment.
Complete RGAs.
Report and communicate order shortages.
Ensure production and quality reporting is correct.
