About The Position

At Aclara’s facility in Solon, Ohio, the Production Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for a team coordinating assembly, testing, packaging, and warehouse operations. The role is responsible for meeting production goals and improving product quality, process efficiency, and team performance while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration. The position requires progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, knowledge of lean manufacturing, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with SAP or ability to learn and execute transactions.
Proven ability to lead and contribute in a team-oriented setting.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, proactive attitude.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a production work cell, coordinating workloads and supporting team members to meet production targets, KPIs, and quality standards.
Ensure efficient use of people and resources while maintaining adherence to standard work procedures and safety protocols.
Champion 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and lead by example.
Support work order closures and stock control transactions.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production issues, keeping leadership informed throughout.
Participate in ongoing training and development to grow leadership capabilities.
Assist in performance management, including coaching, corrective actions, and attendance tracking.
Maintain and communicate production metrics, sharing results across various levels of the organization.
Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, ensuring timely action closure.
Collaborate with Production Scheduling to align shift production plans.
Foster a respectful, team-oriented culture through positive leadership and accountability.
