About The Position

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in East Norriton, PA. As two of the region’s most respected providers of orthopedic and upper extremity care, we offer a collaborative, patient-focused environment that prioritizes clinical excellence, innovation, and ongoing professional development. The APP provides advanced clinical care under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. The role also includes triaging patient calls, performing procedures such as suturing and injections, responding to emergencies, and collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff. This position supports both clinic and hospital rounds as needed. This is a full-time on-site role.

Requirements

  • BSN required; MSN preferred for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital environment
  • Skill in evaluating patient problems, developing/revising care plans, and providing appropriate interventions

  • Additional certifications per state regulations or specialty may be preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Perform procedures including injections and suturing as appropriate
  • Triage and respond to patient calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, clinical staff, and other healthcare providers
  • Develop and update patient care plans, documenting interventions accurately
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and post-operative care
  • Support clinical operations including clinic and hospital rounds as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including HIPAA
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
