About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring PRN Physician Assistants to work across multiple clinics in their region. The role is suited to providers who enjoy variety, work well in a high-volume environment, and can adapt to different teams and clinics. New graduates are encouraged to apply, including candidates who have not yet taken their boards. Providers care for patients of all ages in urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine settings. Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet locations, where applicable, are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hours may change based on company needs, training, and float coverage.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant certification is required prior to the start date.
  • A master’s degree or higher is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • EMR experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services.
  • Perform minor procedures, including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
  • Perform suturing and splinting.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review X-rays, which receive a Radiologist over-read.
  • Interpret EKGs.
  • Evaluate and treat general dermatology concerns, eye complaints, and gynecological care needs.
  • Treat patients of all ages.
  • Provide emergency management in a fast-paced setting.
