About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring a floating Physician Assistant to work in multiple clinics in the Raleigh, NC region. The PA provides patient-focused care across urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role calls for flexibility in working with teams at different clinics and providing leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.

Clinic responsibilities include a broad range of care, such as minor procedures, suturing, splinting, orthopedic evaluations and management, reviewing x-rays for radiologist over-read, dermatology and eye complaints, EKG interpretation, emergency management, gynecological care, treatment of children of all ages, occupational medicine, and telemedicine.

Shifts are determined two months in advance. MainStreet Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet Clinic hours at the listed locations are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Work hours may change based on company needs, training, or floater assignments.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant board certification is required.
• An MSN or higher education is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an EMR.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor procedures, including toenail and foreign-object removal.
• Perform suturing and splinting.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
• Review x-rays for radiologist over-read.
• Evaluate and treat general dermatological and eye problems.
• Interpret general EKGs.
• Provide emergency management.
• Provide general gynecological care.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Provide occupational medicine services.
• Provide telemedicine services.
• Work with teams in multiple clinics and provide leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.
