About The Position
An established, physician-owned dermatology practice in Virginia is seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its clinical team. This full-time role is based at one dedicated location just outside Newport News, with no travel between offices. The practice focuses on general and medical dermatology, with the option to incorporate cosmetic services such as injectables and laser treatments according to the clinician’s experience and interests. The typical patient volume is approximately 28–32 patients per day, supported by an experienced dermatology team and one dedicated medical assistant, increasing to two when daily volume exceeds 20. The practice uses EMA electronic medical records. The position offers a four-day workweek, with the option to work five days if preferred. Compensation includes a guaranteed base salary commensurate with experience, additional productivity compensation based on collections, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- At least one year of dermatology experience.
- Experience diagnosing and managing general medical dermatologic conditions.
- Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.
- Ability to manage an established outpatient dermatology schedule.

- Interest in cosmetic dermatology; this is welcome but not required.
- Experience or interest in cosmetic services, including injectables and laser treatments.
