About The Position

Requirements

• Detail oriented with a focus on producing quality timely and accurate work.
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks to meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to compose and edit written materials (correspondence, policies, procedures, etc.).
• Ability to professionally communicate (verbal and written).
• Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Human Resources or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of payroll experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee Company payroll and manage all tasks essential to the payroll process.
• Ensure accurate payroll and timely payroll processing.
• Review internal processes for efficiency and improvement, to include research of software and other technological alternatives.
• Preparation and submittal of weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll.
• Serve as the point of contact for payroll tax issues, working with ADP and various taxing authorities when necessary.
• Serve as the point of contact with Human Resources and Project Managers for any payroll related issues.
• Communicate with employees regarding payroll related issues.
• Calculate and process adjustments/amendments, including PTO payouts, retro pay, prior period adjustments, bonuses, etc.
• Timely processing of PTO and Sick accruals.
• Reconcile 401k contributions and 401k match each pay period.
• Complete special projects as requested.
• Assist with year-end audit and 401k compliance testing.
