About The Position
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Companion supports licensed nursing staff with activities related to the safety needs of an assigned patient. Employees are encouraged to support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System's involvement in the community it serves.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Command of the English language in written and verbal format.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Support licensed nursing staff with activities related to the safety needs of an assigned patient.
- Read newspapers, magazines, books, and other materials of a wide variety.
- Communicate in English, both in writing and verbally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
