About The Position

This Caregiver position involves assisting clients with various daily living activities, including medication management, ambulation, and personal care and hygiene. Responsibilities extend to helping with physical therapy exercises, planning and preparing meals, and assisting with or performing shopping tasks. The role also requires performing light housekeeping duties, providing companionship, reporting unusual incidents, and acting responsibly in emergencies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven caregiving experience, knowledge of housekeeping and dietary-conscious cooking, adherence to health and safety standards, and strong ethical and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a caregiver
  • Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of Caregiving experience

Responsibilities

  • Help clients take prescribed medication
  • Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
  • Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
  • Help clients with physical therapy exercises
  • Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
  • Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
  • Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
  • Be a pleasant and supportive companion
  • Report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
