About The Position
The Machine Operator is an entry-level production role in a bakery and a member of the production team, focused on safely and consistently producing high-quality baked products. The role involves operating machinery, packaging products, mixing ingredients, and moving or stacking materials and equipment. Operators inspect products, help prevent waste, complete required training and audits, and maintain good manufacturing practices, food safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- 1–3 years of prior manufacturing experience; food manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stack and/or carry pans, ingredient containers, and similar items.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfort working in a warm environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Food manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate high-powered machinery.
- Package products and mix ingredients.
- Move and/or stack materials and equipment used in production.
- Examine products and reject those that do not meet specifications.
- Observe, maintain, and address issues to prevent and reduce waste.
- Participate in and successfully complete company-approved and required training and audits.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, and quality standards.
