About The Position
Intervala is hiring SMT Machine Operators for its expanding team. The SMT Machine Operator loads and assists with setup and staging of product on SMT lines. The role involves setting up and tearing down feeders for pick-and-place machines, assisting with machine setup and operation, helping build electronic assemblies, and manually placing surface-mount and through-hole electronic components.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- No experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print.
- Beginner-level proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and understand load plans.
- Intermediate component identification skills.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, high-detail work environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts.
- Knowledge of IPC-610 standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform setup and tear down on all feeders for all pick-and-place machines.
- Assist the operator in setting up and running all pick-and-place machines.
- Assist in building electronic assemblies as needed.
- Perform manual placement of surface-mount and through-hole electronic components.
- Load and assist with setup and staging of product on SMT lines.
