About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reach truck experience required.
• Pass the operational fork truck test with a score of 80% or better.
• Handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources.
• Basic math skills to determine proper pallet heights and counts and identify or verify pallet ID numbers.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at elevated heights while wearing required PPE, such as a fall-protection harness.
• Ability to take directions using a headset selection system, such as VoCollect.
• Ability to accommodate flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat frequently to continually in a refrigerated warehouse environment.
• Ability to grasp, reach, push, and pull frequently.
• Ability to work safely up to 36 feet in the air in the rack system to fix dumped pallets on occasion.
• Ability to build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 pounds.
• Endurance for continuous, fast-paced work.
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures, including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to work while wearing appropriate PPE, such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, a hard hat, gloves, and insulated clothing.
• Ability to work around products that may contain food allergens, including fish, shellfish, and peanuts.
• Ability to safely and accurately use job equipment after training, including computers, handheld trackers, copiers, scanners, printers, and radio headsets.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse experience preferred.
• College coursework, continuing technical education, or comparable business experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Put away products according to inventory control guidelines.
• Cut shrink wrap from pallets after placing them in the proper bin location.
• Wrap pallets for stability, check pallet condition, and stack them safely for transport to storage.
• Promptly report damage and inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain the cleanliness and repair of dock and facility areas.
• Maintain food-safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards.
• Replenish empty pick bins.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
