About The Position
The Occupational Therapist delivers occupational therapy services in alignment with occupational therapy principles and practices and Reliant Rehabilitation’s standards. The role includes patient screening and evaluation, developing and implementing treatment plans, discharge planning, supervising assistants and rehabilitation technicians, and case management. The therapist fosters positive relationships with clients and facilities, provides high-quality care, and complies with applicable state and federal regulations. The therapist enhances patients’ functional abilities through direct care, oversight, and coordination of occupational therapy services. The role also supports the growth and sustainability of the occupational therapy program and advances clinical and professional competencies through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education. The position is available PRN and/or full-time, and new graduates are welcomed.
Requirements
- Graduated from an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program.
- Hold a current and valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities
- Provide, oversee, and coordinate occupational therapy services to enhance patients’ functional abilities.
- Provide clinical supervision and consultation to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
- Supervise COTAs and rehabilitation technicians during individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring effective resource utilization and skill development in accordance with State Practice Acts, OBRA, and company policies.
- Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the occupational therapy program.
- Advance clinical and professional competencies through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education.
- Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about developments in occupational therapy and healthcare.
- Apply knowledge of relevant billing models and treatment guidelines to deliver clinically appropriate care and achieve suitable goals and outcomes.
- Follow infection-control and environmental-safety protocols within the facility.
- Communicate and document effectively in English.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and facilities and comply with applicable state and federal regulations.
