About The Position

Powerback is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide individualized occupational therapy and help patients recover, improve their physical abilities, and regain independence. The therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers therapy in an in-facility environment. The role includes addressing each patient as an individual, adapting to varied patient needs and care settings, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and teaching patients and caregivers skills that support independence and productivity.

The position reports to the Director of Rehab. Powerback describes its services as patient-centered and integrated, focused on helping people recover and improve how they feel, move, breathe, and live. The posted salary range is USD $45.00–$53.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
• Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs.
• Develop patient recovery plans.
• Deliver occupational therapy.
• Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
• Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
