About The Position

Powerback is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation in an in-facility setting. The therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. The role includes adapting care to individual patients, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and training patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs.
Develop patient recovery plans.
Deliver occupational therapy to help patients recover and improve their abilities and independence.
Adapt therapy to patients' individual needs and care settings.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
