About The Position

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the state.
• At least a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services with planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Services department.
• Meet the clinical needs of all residents.
• Assist with maintaining, reviewing, and developing clinical policies and procedures.
• Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed.
• Monitor and review staffing needs, schedules, and work assignments.
• Oversee certification of nursing assistants and track required annual in-service hours.
• Ensure proper medication administration, handling, storage, and auditing.
• Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies and implement plans of correction for deficiencies.
