About The Position

The agency is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide care at a nursing home facility in East Elmhurst, NY. The role supports long-term care and sub-acute rehabilitation residents through bedside care, assistance with activities of daily living, mobility support, and coordination with nursing staff. The position offers a base rate of $24 per hour and an overtime rate of $36 per hour, with weekly pay every Thursday. Full-time and part-time hours are available. Shifts are 7 AM–3 PM, 3 PM–11 PM, or 11 PM–7 AM. Applicants must hold an active New York State CNA license, attend a brief in-person interview at the facility, and be able to work every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and assistance with activities of daily living for geriatric residents.
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, continuous rounding, meals, and other personal care needs.
Safely perform mechanical lifts, positioning, turning, ambulation, and transfers for long-term care and sub-acute rehabilitation residents.
Assist residents with mobility, including transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
Monitor and record patient vital signs, nutritional intake, and behavioral changes in electronic health record systems.
Coordinate with Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to support a seamless healthcare environment.
Support nursing and medical staff in delivering quality patient care.
Maintain a clean and safe patient environment and follow infection control protocols.
Build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.
Participate in training and ongoing education to develop patient-care skills and knowledge.
