About The Position

Three Crosses Regional Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse to join its Surgical Team and support clinical excellence and a patient-centered culture. The position is identified as PRN.

Requirements

  • Associate degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an operating-room setting; ambulatory surgery center experience is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience in an ambulatory surgery center.
  • CNOR certification.
  • PALS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the operating room, use preference cards, and anticipate surgeons’ needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the operating room during a case as the circulator.
  • Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between surgical procedures.
  • Use appropriate body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and operating-room tables to prevent injury.
  • Manage patient care and medication, including assisting with anesthesia.
  • Review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols before and after surgical procedures.
