About The Position

The licensed practical nurse performs selected acts to promote health and provide care to people who are ill, injured, or experiencing changes in normal health processes. This work requires specialized skill, knowledge, and judgment, and nursing care is provided under the direction of a registered nurse. The nurse supports the Village’s mission and values and is required to work in all nursing communities in the Village Care Center.

This is a PRN, as-needed role in the Village Care Center Nursing Pool. Associates select preferred shifts through UKG and must work each selected shift in its entirety: 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Partial shifts may be available after required shifts are completed. Associates must work at least two shifts per month, including at least one weekend shift, and are scheduled to work at least three of six designated holidays per calendar year. Additional hours are usually available upon request. PRN associates are not eligible for paid time off or health benefits, but may contribute to the Village’s TSA plan under its current provisions. A $5.00-per-hour PRN shift differential applies to all hours worked.

Applicants must be external to JKV or have not been employed there within the last 60 days, and must have at least one year of experience. A post-offer background check and health screening are required. The workplace is nicotine-free and drug-free.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed practical nurse in the state of Missouri.
• At least one year of experience.
• Excellent social, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Spatial, clerical, and form perception; color discrimination; motor coordination; finger and manual dexterity; and eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Must be an external applicant who has not been employed at JKV within the last 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected nursing acts to promote health and care for people who are ill, injured, or experiencing changes in normal health processes.
• Provide nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Work in all nursing communities in the Village Care Center.
• Work a minimum of two shifts per month, including at least one weekend shift.
• Work at least three of the six designated holidays per calendar year.
• Select preferred shifts for the upcoming month through UKG by the stated deadline.
• Work assigned shifts in their entirety and work where assigned throughout the care center.

Benefits
