About The Position

Alabama Clinical Schools is a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area, offering intensive residential treatment for males ages 9–18 and therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. The Registered Nurse is a key member of the team, integrating and coordinating a patient-centric nursing strategy with a focus on patient care. The role supports high-quality, cost-effective healthcare consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and applicable government regulations, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

• Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in Alabama.
• Nursing degree from a CCNE-accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with common computer-based applications, such as electronic mail, word processing, and databases, whether PC-, network-, or mainframe-based.
• Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check, including criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint checks.
