About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive nursing services at Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, Illinois. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients and works under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff to respond to physical and behavioral health needs. Starting pay for full-time employees is $36.23 per hour or more. PRN pay is $32.61 per hour. Day, evening, and night shifts are available, as well as PRN work. PRN and shift differentials are offered.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or ability to obtain one.
  • Active and appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice.
  • Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
  • Respond to patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
