Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Meramec Bluffs, FT, Evening/Nights
About The Position
Provides daily supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate environment, following established community care procedures and the direction of nursing leadership. Works collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team that focuses on residents directing their own care. The role includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, personal care, meals, activities, therapies, and treatments; observing and reporting changes in residents’ needs and conditions; documenting care; and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The position requires working beyond normal hours and on weekends or holidays when necessary.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in Missouri or Illinois.
- For Pennsylvania: enrollment on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completing the training program; requires successful completion of a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation program or competency evaluation program and enrollment in the PA Department of Health, Division of Nursing Care Facilities Nurse Aide Registry.

- Ability to communicate with residents.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear regularly.
- Ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
- Ability to climb or balance and taste or smell occasionally.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull 45 pounds.
- Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities
- Maintain residents’ comfort and provide physical care with activities of daily living within the scope of practice; answer call lights and requests, and report observations to the nurse.
- Address residents’ personal care and support needs promptly while preserving their dignity and independence.
- Observe residents for changes in needs and conditions and report information to the nurse.
- Participate in residents’ care and service plans to help improve their lives.
- Assist residents during meals and feed residents who need full assistance.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with residents and families, offering compassionate and professional support.
- Support residents’ involvement in decisions about their daily activities and assist them with activities.
- Assist with residents’ therapies and treatments under the direction of licensed staff.
- Document care provided in clinical records.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
