The Emergency Department | Emergency Room unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. The leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes Adult, Pediatric, and Geriatric patients with a patient ratio of 4:1 across 20 beds. The department has Chest Pain Accreditation, Primary Stroke Accreditation, sees an average of 100 patients per day, and handles around 15-20 EMS ambulances per day. Baylor Scott White Medical Center-Sunnyvale is a community-based hospital with specialties uncommon for its size, offering a large footprint of outpatient services.
