Advocate Health•Matthews, NC
•$38 - $57

About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides critical care nursing services in a 4-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The unit does not provide bedside dialysis or cardiac intervention; patients requiring those services are transferred to appropriate facilities. The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. The role monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with the care team, and works to improve patient and unit outcomes while promoting a culture of safety. The RN may administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with clinical protocols and procedures; delegates appropriately; and maintains accurate, timely electronic health record documentation. The position may require floating to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area. The nurse provides age-appropriate care and must understand growth and development across the lifespan. This is a part-time, PRN dayshift position with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per six-week period, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
