About The Position

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician
• South Dakota Board of Pharmacy
• 1+ years of Hospital System Pharmaceutical Experience

Nice To Haves

• Associates in Pharmacy Technician or Health Sciences
• Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Accredited University or accredited training professionals

Responsibilities

• Proactively assess patient needs and critically evaluate processes necessary to streamline workflow for optimal efficiency while minimizing waste.
• Identify waste and adjust practice.
• Guide change in a positive manner.
• Incorporate and consider MH Pharmacy as a system in process decisions.
• Establish interdepartmental relationships.
• Assist technical staff within the department.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate the quantity and quality of daily work activities.
• Coordinate and implement new ventures within the pharmacy department and interdepartmentally as necessary.
• Coordinate orientation and training of new technicians.
• Maintain a fair and equitable technician schedule.
• Assist leadership team with performance evaluations of technician staff.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of all technician job duties and an understanding of the duties of other technician specialty positions with the ability to function in their absence.
• Pass and maintain applicable exams and validation tests (applicable to inpatient setting).
• All other duties as assigned.
