Requirements

  • Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary or urgent care setting seeing all ages (0+), or have completed a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency program in the last 5 years.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Ability to work at least 3 holidays a year.
  • Ability to work two full weekends per month (4 shifts).
  • State licensed in Maryland, obtained by your One Medical start date.

Responsibilities

  • Managing patients' acute care concerns.
  • Performing urgent care procedures such as STI diagnosis and treatment, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, and nebulizer treatment.
  • Managing common urgent care conditions like URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, and abdominal pain.
  • Providing initial screening and stabilization for psychiatric concerns.
  • Maintaining evidence-based and current knowledge in urgent care practice and procedures.
  • Demonstrating basic proficiency in primary care topics such as hypertension, diabetes, and depression/anxiety.
  • Comfortable with the initial management of acute changes in chronic conditions.
  • Documenting physical exams, procedures, and in-office medications/prescriptions.
