About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Small Engine Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain small engine equipment, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, snow blowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment. The starting pay is $24.00+. The role includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance and repairs, inspecting equipment for safety and functionality, keeping accurate repair and parts records, communicating with customers about repair needs and timelines, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license (optional, if applicable).
Nice To Haves
- Small engine repair certification.
- Experience in a repair shop or outdoor power equipment dealership.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on small engines.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes and replacing spark plugs and filters.
