About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Cleveland, Ohio. The role performs hands-on maintenance to keep the plant and its associated equipment operational and maintained. Work includes specialized equipment, yellow iron equipment, forklifts, industrial plumbing, electrical work, welding, and capital projects. The position works a 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. shift, with overtime and weekends as needed to keep the plant running. The posted pay range is $28–$35 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting.

Nice To Haves

Experience leading capital projects and working with vendors.
Experience managing supply inventory and ordering supplies.
Experience using a computerized maintenance management program.
Proficiency in welding, electrical work, pump rebuilds, motors, plumbing, yellow iron, forklifts, and building maintenance.
Previous experience with preventive maintenance or basic facility installations.

Responsibilities

Follow health and safety policies and processes, and act safely at all times.
Perform maintenance on specialized equipment, including pump rebuilds and motors, and carry out preventive maintenance.
Install pipe and perform welding, plumbing, and electrical work.
Maintain yellow iron equipment and forklifts.
Perform building maintenance.
Lead capital projects, including managing vendors and maintenance personnel on large, complex maintenance activities.
Ensure work meets facility operating compliance standards.
Maintain a clean work environment and manage supplies in the assigned area, including proper housekeeping and best management practices.
Record and document work in the computerized Facility Maintenance system.
Perform other duties as assigned by management or required by business needs.
