About The Position

Enterprise Precast Concrete is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join its production team. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, this position assists with repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, and company buildings. The role supports plant equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, shop organization, and building upkeep while following safe work practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 3 years of experience in maintenance, mechanic work, or industrial maintenance in a plant environment using lift equipment, overhead cranes, and air compressors.
• At least 3 years of experience working on diesel engines on heavy equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and troubleshooting issues on industrial heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of 12-volt and 24-volt systems.
• Experience with high and low voltages from 24V to 480V AC.
• Experience with pneumatics on trailers, including electrical anti-brake systems and air bags.
• Building maintenance and upkeep experience, specializing in plumbing, pneumatics, and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance team with troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment, including mixers, batch plants, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and motors.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as tightening bolts, changing filters, lubricating equipment, and replacing worn parts.
• Support scheduled preventive maintenance activities and document work performed.
• Help maintain tools, spare-parts inventory, and shop organization.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other plant equipment as trained.
• Assist with building maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs.
• Repair broken or leaking plumbing to help avoid water damage.
• Work on damaged electrical wiring when a short or severed wire occurs.
• Clean work areas, remove debris, and help keep the maintenance shop and plant safe and organized.
