About The Position
The Seasonal Material Handler supports workflow and distributes supplies to staff in the production areas of the Kentucky Distribution Center (KDC). The role requests packaging quantities, replenishes assorted items in the appropriate packing areas, surveys packing stations and aisle locations, and documents inbound and outbound materials and supplies. It also involves operating material-handling equipment, including the AAV, Print & Apply, Zebra Printer, Bailer, and pallet jacks. The Material Handler maintains orderly and adequately stocked supply storage, self-service areas, and pack stations; responds to packing staff’s supply needs; pulls materials from storage and transports them to production areas; and supports picking, receiving, put-away, inventory checks, and replenishment. The role also supports Packing and Outbound Operations by moving orders and cartons to Shipping, participates in cardboard bailer maintenance, and helps maintain and replenish equipment. The employee communicates supply needs, area coverage, and equipment issues, works cross-functionally to support timely deliveries, and follows all worksite safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Knowledge of PSR.
- Ability to work with a handheld device or tablet.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Detail-oriented and well organized.
- Available to work overtime during the holiday season.
- Able to work one required Saturday per quarter.
- Able to flex into other areas to meet business needs.
- Able to routinely and repetitively lift 35 lbs.; occasional lifting of 50 lbs. may be required.
- Able to push or pull 250 lbs.
- Comply with all safety guidelines and policy requirements, including PIT safety procedures and use of proper safety wear and equipment.
- Comply with all Tiffany & Co. policies and procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CRT and/or keyboard skills is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Replenish supply storage, self-service areas, and pack stations, prioritizing easy retrieval of small supplies by packers.
- Keep packing areas uniform and neat, and remove trash and empty boxes from packing stations to lane receptacles.
- Respond promptly to packing staff and help ensure supply inventory is accurate and available.
- Pull order materials from storage locations and transport them to production areas.
- Complete the KDC picking operation.
- Receive incoming finished goods and put them away in the correct inventory locations.
- Participate in maintenance of the cardboard bailer.
- Assist Packing and Outbound Operations by transporting orders and cartons to Shipping using a pallet jack, and remove empty containers manually.
- Put away delivered items, verify inventory levels, prepare replenishment restock order forms as needed, and check stock levels and outstanding purchasing requisitions.
- Communicate supply needs, area coverage, and equipment issues; periodically check email, participate in e-learning classes, and keep Self-Service information updated.
- Work cross-functionally with the USGDC to communicate supply needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Address Print and Apply, AAV, and Zebra printer alerts promptly, and clean, maintain, and replenish equipment as needed to support daily workflow.
- Follow safe work procedures for Material Handling and Dock Operations and all worksite safety requirements; promptly report incidents and safety issues to the assistant manager.
