About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant early childhood experience
• Strong understanding of toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Excellent classroom management, leadership, and communication skills
• Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience leading a toddler classroom preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the Toddler classroom using The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
• Foster independence through consistent routines, exploration, and positive guidance
• Create a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Supervise, mentor, and support Assistant Teachers
• Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and developmental updates
• Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Maintain high standards of classroom quality and child engagement
