About The Position

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as part of the job.
• Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch.
• Residency within the posted location is mandatory; the posting specifies residence within 40 miles of Louisville, Kentucky.
• Ability to travel to customers’ homes and handle virtual claims nationwide.
• Applicants who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment.
• Applicants for an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.
• Obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required for the office or area.
• Strong critical-thinking and technical skills to assess damage accurately and expedite claim settlements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on high-quality work.

Nice To Haves

• Four to five years of previous experience as an outside property adjuster is highly desired.
• Experience handling claims involving multiple trades and losses exceeding $100,000.
• Proficiency with Xactimate and other relevant estimating software.
• Applicable active licenses may qualify the candidate for a $1,000 licensing sign-on bonus; examples include a Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ homes to conduct on-site property inspections.
• Investigate property damage and policy coverage, including interpreting policies to determine coverage.
• Prepare damage estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently.
• Handle virtual claims nationwide, with particular focus on water losses.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video, using their preferred communication approach and keeping them informed of claim progress.
• Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants in accordance with legal and business standards.
• Use estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims.
• Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system.
• Follow policy agreements and protect the company’s financial interests.
• Travel as required to customers’ homes and to approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, Texas.
• Obtain required adjuster and/or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire when applicable.
